Black, White, Grey or Technicolor?

Usually, there is three perspectives to how most of us see the world, that is Black , White or Grey .

Most of us fall in the Black and White spectrum, perhaps because of experiences that inform our world view.

Our world is often times limited to our immediate surroundings, and interactions with people we have known most of our lives.

Growing up, I discovered my father had what I would term as a grey perception of life, people who see greys tend to have more balanced outlooks towards life, and having the ability to accomodate diverse experiences and realities.

I remember him attributing this to the fact that he studied in different provinces in the period b.m (before majimbo), and later worked in different parts other than his home of origin.

These interactions made him accomodate people from all walks of life and ethnic backgrounds at a time when it was not popular to do so.

This he passed on to us, where interactions with people were not based on their ethnicity but on who they were or are.

The black and white group which I largely oscillated towards, and I use “oscillated” because I’m being very intentional about leaving that hood, kinda views of life from very rigid perspectives where things are either good or bad, right or wrong with no in betweens.

Finally there is the technicolor crew, this ones I think view life through a Kaleidoscope, (which is a gadget that allows one to see different colors, and patterns by refracting and reflecting light).

So, a person viewing life in technicolor sees beauty, diversity and complex experiences which dont overwhelm them, but instead cause them to appreciate just how vibrant the world around them is.

They must be the lot that makes lemonade out of the lemons that life throws at them.

Halafu you see how God never created the world in black and white or greys?

There is so much color and beauty, from the soil, to the plants and even animals.

He did know that thats how life was meant to be viewed. I reckon it would be an insult to Him, to view it in any other way other than His intended plan.

What spectrum do you fall under?
